Privacy Statement
GDPR information for visitors of SpeedyCam.be.
We collect as little as possible: standard server logs, a consent choice, and — only if you grant consent — Google AdSense advertising cookies. Your favorites are stored in your own browser only and are never transmitted to us. We do not sell or share personal data.
Our data protection philosophy in one sentence: as a small family business that has existed since 1995, it has always been our main priority, and in our own interest, to keep our visitors' personal data safe; we do not share it with third parties or perform any automatic profiling.
Euregio.Net AG, the operator of SpeedyCam.be, is committed to safeguarding your personal rights. This includes the right to privacy, which is guaranteed by article 22 of the Belgian Constitution and article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
We have written this privacy statement to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR Regulation (EU) 2016/679), what information we collect, how we use data, and what choices you as a visitor to this website have. By using this site you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy. This privacy policy is part of our Terms and Conditions; in the event of a collision of terms, this policy shall prevail.

Data protection principles
We promise to follow these data protection principles:
- Processing is lawful, fair and transparent. Our processing activities have lawful grounds. We always consider your rights before processing personal data and will provide you information regarding processing upon request.
- Processing is limited to its purpose. Our processing activities fit the purpose for which the personal data was gathered.
- Processing is done with minimal data. We only gather and process the minimal amount of personal data required for any purpose.
- Processing is limited in time. We will not store your personal data for longer than needed.
- We will do our best to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of data.
Your rights
As a data subject you have the following rights:
- Right to information — you have the right to know whether your personal data is being processed, what data is gathered, where it is obtained from, and why and by whom it is processed.
- Right to access — you have the right to access the data collected from/about you, including a copy of your personal data.
- Right to rectification — you have the right to request rectification or erasure of personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure — in certain circumstances you can request your personal data to be erased from our records.
- Right to restrict processing — where certain conditions apply, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data.
- Right to object to processing — in certain cases, for example direct marketing.
- Right to object to automated processing, including profiling.
- Right to data portability — you have the right to obtain your personal data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to lodge a complaint — if we refuse a request under the right of access, we will provide a reason why; if you are not satisfied with the way your request has been handled, please contact us.
- Right to the help of a supervisory authority and the right to other legal remedies such as claiming damages.
- Right to withdraw consent — you can withdraw any given consent for the processing of your personal data at any time, including the advertising consent described below.
Data we gather
Information you provide us with. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use this information only to answer you; it is not added to any marketing list and not shared with anyone.
Information automatically collected. When you visit any website, certain information is automatically created and stored — this is also the case on this website. Our web server automatically stores data such as the IP address of your device, the addresses of the visited pages, details about your browser and the date and time. We only use this data to identify problems with the site and to defend against abuse, and we do not normally pass it on; we cannot rule out that this data will be reviewed in the event of unlawful behaviour.
Favorites — stored on your device only. When you mark a movie
with the star button, your list of favorites is saved exclusively in your own
browser using localStorage (key sc_favorites). This list never leaves
your device: it is not transmitted to our server, not linked to any account and
not shared with anyone. You can remove it at any time by clearing the favorites on
the favorites page or by clearing your browser's site
data.
How we use personal data
We use the personal data described above in order to operate this website, answer your messages, keep the site secure, and — only with your consent — show advertising. We do not sell personal data, we do not run our own profiling, and we reserve the right to anonymise gathered data and use such anonymised data for statistics. We store data no longer than Belgian law requires.
Who else has access to personal data
We do not share your personal data with strangers. Limited technical processing happens through our trusted infrastructure partners:
- Data centers and hosting (Combell), content delivery network (Cloudflare).
- Advertising (Google AdSense — only after consent, see below).
We only work with processing partners who are able to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data. We disclose personal data to public officials only when legally obliged to do so.
How we secure your data
We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (HTTPS/TLS). We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. Even though we try our best, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information; however, we promise to notify the suitable authorities of data breaches, and to notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests.
Children
We do not intend to collect, or knowingly collect, information from children. We do not target children with our services.
Cookies, consent and advertising
This site keeps cookies and similar technologies to a minimum:
- Consent choice — when advertising consent is required, we show a Google-certified consent message (Google's Consent Management Platform). Your choice is stored by Google so that we do not have to ask again on every visit.
- Favorites — the movies you star are stored only in your browser's localStorage; they are never transmitted to us.
- Google AdSense — this website is funded by advertising from Google AdSense. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent signals denied by default: until you grant consent through the Google consent message, no advertising cookies are set and no personalised advertising storage is used. If you grant consent, Google may set advertising cookies and process data as described in Google's privacy policy. You can withdraw or change consent at any time via the privacy/consent options Google presents, and you can manage personalised advertising in your Google ads settings.
You can remove cookies and site data stored on your device at any time via your browser settings. You can also control third-party advertising cookies through platforms such as aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
