Belgium Road Movies

Belgium is where SpeedyCam started: in May 2001 a webcam was bolted into a Nissan Primera, pointed at the windscreen, and the home roads of the East Cantons did the rest. Most of these runs roll through the high Eifel and Ardennes — Wirtzfeld, Rocherath, Bütgenbach, Büllingen, Amel and St. Vith — with longer legs to Eupen, Malmédy and Mont Rigi across the Hautes Fagnes moor.

A rainy June 2001 loop even dips across the Luxembourg border between Grüfflingen, Weiswampach and Huldange, and there is a long run home from Liège. Eighteen years later the camera went back out for the June 2019 Bütgenbach–Malmedy loop — the newest movie in the whole catalog.
